What is Permanent Makeup?
Permanent makeup, also known as Intradermal Pigmentation, is a revolutionary method of applying natural pigments into the dermal layer of skin. This state-of-the-art technique is medically proven and specifically designed to be completely safe.
Permanent makeup is used for a variety of cosmetic enhancements such as permanent eyebrows, eye liner, and lip liner/color. Other permanent makeup procedures include vitiligo, scar camouflage, areola restoration, hairline enhancement, and more. Permanent makeup has also been used to cover-up stretchmarks, birthmarks, freckles/age spots, and uneven skin discolorations.
Let’s explain a few more popular procedures.
The Intradermal Pigmentation procedure for lip color is beautiful. It can appear to change the size and shape of the lips as well as the color. This procedure helps prevent lipstick from bleeding into the surrounding skin. Many people request a soft pink, similar to the lip color, for those who want a natural look. Others may desire a dramatic effect.
Lip Augmentation (non-surgical)
This procedure is used to visually create fuller, healthier lips without any surgical procedure. Whether you are looking to balance out the shape of your lips, even-out a cleft lip, conceal burns or scars, or you simply want rich, sexy looking lips, this procedure is for you.
The Intradermal Pigmentation procedure for eyebrows mimics the appearance of hair in the brow line. Anyone who desires to have a more full looking brow will love this procedure (you will love the time you save not applying makeup!) After this procedure you can go swimming, sweet, or rub your forehead without the embarrassment of losing your eyebrows. Those suffering from hair loss are pleasantly surprised at how natural it looks.
Any where from a subtle, natural look, to a more bold line making your eyes pop, (No more worrying about looking plain) with the implantation of pigments just above the lash line is popular with both male and female clients. Ophthalmologists recommend Intradermal Cosmetic procedures for those who are allergic to conventional makeup and for those wearing contact lenses.
Is the technique where pigments are implanted into the lash line giving the eyelashes an enhancement appearing to look longer and fuller helping them to stand out.
Areola RestorationFor those that have had breast reconstruction and either no longer have a nipple or no longer have coloring to your areola, or uneven coloring there is now an option to bring a natural look. Using delicate artistry, I can create the illusion of a three-dimensional nipple/areola achieving a natural-looking effect. You have some options to either enlarge the areola, make uneven edges even again, etc..This procedure coupled with skin needling to reduce scarring from surgery will give woman confidence and peace of mind.

Amanda is also certified in color correction. Sometimes people have had an unfortunate experience resulting in grey/green or pink eyebrows or blue lips from other locations possibly overseas, such as shown in the photo to the left. Through quality pigments and special techniques this can be corrected.
– Whats the difference between the Tradional Tattooing process and Permanent Makeup?
Where both procedures involve tattooing the skin, in traditional tattooing, pigment is added to the third layer of the skin, where in permanent makeup pigment is added the second layer of the skin called the Dermis, creating a final result of a soft blend of color to the tattooed area.
– Is this procedure painful?
Topical anesthetic creams/liquids are used to minimize discomfort.
– Do I have a choice of colors?
Definitely! There’s a wide spectrum of colors that you may choose from.
– Do I have a choice in the placement of pigments?
Of course. You will be fully aware during the procedure, instructing the technician where you wish the implants to be located.
– What is involved in recovery?
There will be slight swelling and redness in the skin, which will subside quickly. You may resume normal activities immediately after the procedure. Complete healing takes six weeks while the pigmentation matures and reaches its final color.
